Manicures and Butterflies....

More fun with Grandma and Grandpa! The girls got manicures and pedicures which was so relaxing! Addy loves getting her nails done with Mommy, so she could not wait to have a spa day with Grandma too! We spent the day at the Strong Museum of play on Monday. They have a beautiful butterfly conservatory, if you stand still you might even get one to land on you! It is a great Museum with so much for the kids to see and do- It is especially nice on a winter day when you need an indoor activity to keep them busy! We had a lot of fun seeing the butterflies and the pretty flowers!

EASTER AND SECOND BIRTHDAYS!

We had a very busy weekend! With Grandparents in from Utah and the twins birthday on Easter day, this years celebrations started bright and early! After church the kids looked for their Easter baskets and the chocolate frenzy began! We had Jack and Spencer open their presents before nap time so we would have a moment of peace before the birthday cake! We had a great day, the kids did so well considering all of the excitement... We finished the day with a big Easter dinner and birthday cake for the boys. This year we did Wegman's ( the grocery store here in Rochester) ultimate chocolate cake. They had a contest for the best cake and this cake was the winner! My parents love it and want to smuggle it back on the plane with them! The boys were soo cute blowing out their candles, Spencer had been practicing all day! It is hard to believe it has been two years!!! We loved having my parents here with us! They are truly an inspiration to us. Besides raising 8 kids and surviving, they are just wonderful people! I don't think either of them sat down while they were at my house. In between playing with the kids they managed to clean closets, fix door knobs and mop floors! We love them and wish they lived closer!!!

DINOSAUR BBQ

We had a great week! My parents came into town, and one of their favorite places to eat is the dinosaur bar-b-que. It is famous in Rochester, Syracuse and NYC for their ribs and mac and cheese! We ate so much we could barely get back to the car afterwards! We love when Grandma and Grandpa come to town!!!

Yoga Day!

This past saturday I had the chance to go to a "full immersion" yoga retreat. It started at 9 am until 5:30 p.m! The teacher was Baron Baptiste and he was amazing! The room we were in was packed with people who travel from all over to come see him. We did yoga in a heated room (like a sauna) for a morning and afternoon session. It was such a great experience and it is amazing to see how much yoga can transform your spirit and body! Now I am am working on getting Matt to go to one of his boot camps in Mexico with me... something that will take a lot of convincing! Thanks Susie for letting me know that Baron was coming to Rochester..It was an unforgettable experience! I am still trying to pick up the kids or walk with out being sore 2 days later!!

A little relaxation....

We went to Toronto last weekend for a little get away. Our friends were supposed to meet us the next day, but another New York snow storm stranded them in Rochester! It turned out to be just what Matt and I needed.... Peace and quiet and to just be with each other! We had two really good dinners, shopped, I got a massage while Matt watched basketball! It was nice to just be together alone!!! It is amazing how much you miss your kids even though you enjoy the break! We could not wait to get back to see them all!

GERM FEST 2008!

We have had a rough couple of weeks at our house it started with the wonderful "throw up" bug turning our house upside down. Shortly after that, we were at the doctors getting Jack and Spencer tested for the flu! After those tests came back positive I started spraying the house and putting essential oils all over the kids...at that point I would try about anything! Three out of the Four had the flu, they just happened to be the only ones who had the flu shots! Needless to say Matt and I are going to Toronto this weekend with some friends.... and praying for spring!!! By the way I am in this picture under all of the kids!!

This is my favorite picture ever! This is Spencer two minutes after I walked out of their room, I went to check on them and this is what I saw! Pants on top of the head, laying on his doggie, good night moon next to him and his mouth wide open! The flu really wore him out!

A Very Happy Birthday....

After 3 and 1/2 weeks of sick kids I got a very nice birthday present from Matt! I could not ask for a better husband!!!!!!
